Consulting

Consulting on .NET, Azure, SQL Server and AI

Your .NET app has slowed down, the database is the bottleneck, or you want an AI feature in software you already run and nobody on the team has the time to build it. That's the work I take on. I work with small businesses, development teams that need another senior engineer, and agencies that need a .NET and Azure specialist.

What I do

.NET and Azure platform work

A build, a migration or a rescue on .NET and Azure, scoped in a written proposal. Fixed price by proposal.

SQL Server and Azure SQL performance

A read-only review, a written findings report, a prioritized fix list, a walkthrough call and a quote for the fixes. From $2,500.

AI features in your existing .NET app

One scoped AI feature built into the app you already run, metered, with a kill switch and a person's sign-off before anything ships. From $7,500.

Fractional architect or advisory

Month to month reviews, calls and answers when you need them. Capacity for build work by proposal. Advisory from $2,500 a month.

Websites and web apps

A custom site or small app on the stack I know best, with an admin area and hosting set up. From $5,000.

How it works

  1. 1

    A free 30-minute call

Send a few lines through the form and I'll reply with times. We talk through what you need and whether I'm the right fit.

  2. 2

    A written proposal

A fixed price and a date. Where the scope is unclear, a technical assessment and roadmap comes first, from $1,500, credited against the build.

  3. 3

    The build

Paid in stages, with working software to look at along the way.

  4. 4

    A monthly retainer

For ongoing work once it ships: reviews, fixes and new features, month to month.

No hourly meter. We start with a free 30-minute call, and you get a written proposal with a fixed price and a date, so you pay for the result, not the hours. Prices exclude any sales tax that applies.

An AI-first CRM for small sales teams. The assistant finds prospects and shows you the page each one came from, fills in a company record from the firm's own website, finds the people who work there, and drafts the email, and nothing reaches your workspace or your prospect until you press the button.

A financial intelligence platform for retail and prosumer investors, built around AI: portfolio and risk analytics, backtesting, on-chain crypto research, decision support, and a multi-tenant advisor and client portal. Built solo with heavy AI assistance, around 420,000 lines of .NET 9 Blazor running live on Azure. Informational and educational, not a brokerage.

The platform that runs the weekly re-draft college fantasy league I have played in with friends for over a decade. Every week is a brand new snake draft from the entire NCAA pool, and real game stats score it automatically once Saturday is over. No mainstream provider supports the format, so I built the thing that runs our game: player research, matchup tags, an AI league assistant, and a records book going back years.

Questions

Who owns the code? You do, once it's paid for. I keep the general tools and know-how I bring to every job.

How does payment work? By invoice: a deposit to start, then the rest in stages as the work lands.

What if the scope changes? We agree the change in writing, with its price, before I do the extra work.
